Eh... we have been here multiple times and the last visit will be our last. Every plate of food that came out was cold, not warm actually cold lasagna, cold chicken and when we sent it back the next dish was cold again! We also asked to have the TV changed to the tigers game 5 times and 3 different people before it was changed, no one seemed to know what was going on.

Pleasantly surprised! Waitress was attentive and the food was good. The chicken breast was tender, spinach cooked just right and mashed potatoes were delicious. The club sandwich was on delicious Texas toast type bread and the chicken parmesan was perfect. Atmosphere was casual and kid friendly. I would Definately recommend for a casual dinner!

Been going there for about a year and it seems like things have gone downhill. Last two times place was only about 1/3 full lots of wait staff but service was really slow. Took 10 minutes to initially get served with drinks. Food came reasonably quick but was nothing special. Then after taking our charge card she disappeared again for at least 10 minutes. Too many other choices around for that to be acceptable.

This was a really good dining experience. I went for lunch and had the bucket bites, the nickel salad, and a sampling of their wings it was good - very good. Amber was spot-on and checked up on me often. The price point is a little bit on the higher end. But the quality of the food was very good. They do have a full service bar with plenty of TVs to watch sports. Still not to crazy about the name of the restaurant. Just doesn't sound right. I don't know what it refers to and why would I want anything rusty associated with food, so that's why I'm not too fond of the name.

We decided to dine here on Father's Day as we were in town for my husband's work. We expected it to be busy, but it was not. We were seated right away. My son's root beer was fantastic, he ordered a cheeseburger kids meal with only pickles on it. It came with no pickles and it was several minutes before receiving them. We ordered a plain hamburger for our daughter and she was a big fan. Husband ordered the chicken fingers with skillet beans. There were only four relatively small chicken fingers--he said they were very greasy and fairly tasteless. I had the lemon chicken piccata and I was very happy with mine. We had met some business associates there for dinner and while we were chatting after dinner, the waiter offered to bring the kids a small dish of ice cream which was a nice touch. We would definitely return, however hubby said he wouldn't order the chicken again.

I had never eaten at a Rusty Bucket, but my first experience was eh. I sat at the bar. Service was somewhat lack luster. Had to grab my own menu from the end of the bar and flag down the bartender to order instead of being asked by them. The bartenders seemed more intent on stocking beers and cleaning than paying attention to the customers at the bar; another patron waited quite awhile for help while the two bartenders discussed work crouched in front of an open fridge. I ordered the pesto chicken pasta. I thought this would be a more typical pesto dish, but instead, only the chicken had a pesto like glaze on it, it looked as if it had sat for awhile in the kitchen. The pesto was generic. The texture of pinenuts was absent, and that pop of fresh basil and garlic recently blended was missing. The wine sauce was watery and the pasta was very overcooked to the point of being mushy.

Our family loves the Rusty Bucket. Their staff is wonderful and works together to insure a great dining experience. They have just redid their menu and we are excited to try the new daily specials. My husband tried the Chicken Picatta today and said it was fabulous. We really enjoy the atmosphere and look forward to coming in again soon. Returned today Thursday to try the daily special spaghetti and meatballs. Outstanding!! The meatballs are a combination of veal and beef and fork tender. The sauce was a fantastic compliment. One definitely to try.

It's a restaurant. They serve food. What do they serve exactly? Who knows... some kind of pizzas, fish and chips, wings, burgers... This is the type of place you go to make sure everyone has something they can feel comfortable ordering, but won't have anything that they're gonna love or come back for. Think lunch w/ a bunch of your coworkers, which is actually the reason I've been here a couple times.

Let's face it, there aren't a whole ton of bars in the Bloomfield Hills area. There aren't a lot of craft beer bars in the area period unless you want to venture to nearby Royal Oak or Ferndale. So I'm impressed with Rusty Bucket, regardless of it being a chain, for that. They also have drink specials pretty much every night of the week: Martini Night, Mule Monday, Daiquiri Tuesday, Whiskey Wednesday, Throwback Thursday, Gary's Famous Margarita Night, and Bloody Sunday. UM, if I still lived in Michigan I would be here EVERY night. Huge draft list. My Dad told me that I had to try their Mount Pleasant Train Wreck Ale and I'm glad I did. It was hoppy but subtle and packed a punch. The food I guess is where we start to lose stars. I probably didn't order the best thing on the menu, which I hear is their large variety of burgers. I was torn between getting fish and chips so I went with the codwich sandwich. It was a little too heavily breaded and adding cheese onto a piece of fried fish seems redundant to me. But the fries are great. I had sweet potato and tried my sister's side of regular that were cooked over-done so that they were nice and crispy. She went with the blackened salmon salad and my niece had the kid's chicken fingers meal. Again, just decent food and probably a notch above a Bennigans. I like the atmosphere though because its laid back and super Detroit proud (banners everywhere). I'll definitely be back when I'm in town.

The food was good and hot!!! The fried pickles were amazing!!! My so loved the kids veggie pizza. My nephew said his fries and buffalo chicken sandwich was amazing also. My wings weren't cooked to perfection but overall, it was a great time. We would totally go back. Our waitress Kate, quick, fast, and efficient!!

I'm beyond shocked I'd be a fan but based on my one visit I am one. We popped in for lunch today. It was somewhat empty which made me think that it isn't a place we should stay but we did. Once we were seated, the server (Liz) came over and was great. She explained the drink specials (didn't mention prices), her favorite food items, and I asked for the not so favorite items. She was diplomatic and insisted everything is good and pointed out food items that are not ordered as much to appease me. She was the highlight - great service. We ordered a few beers, chicken strips, and a loaded burger Beer prices are in line with similar bars, and they have a nice selection. The chicken strips might be the star of the show. They are cooked with fish batter and we couldn't figure out why but they are really good - nice crispy coating. The burger was good, nothing special but good. It's hard to hate burgers with fried eggs, so...to recap - it was good. Few things which are nominal, the drink special menu doesn't have prices which made me avoid ordering a Bloody Mary. Simple fix. I wouldn't make it a regular spot but would happy stop in from time to time.

When you think Rusty Bucket you don't think cool atmosphere and good food. But fear not, that's what you'll find here. I've dined at Rusty Bucket about half a dozen times and never had a bad meal. I am a huge fan of their Asian Tuna wrap, rare ahi tuna served with veggies in a lawash wrap. So darn good. They have a nice beer selection and support all the big MI breweries in tap. They also have good happy hour specials and do week night food specials as well. It can get a bit busy during peak hours and is a tad loud but still not a bad spot. It's the perfect half way place to meet up with friends who live in southern Oakland county and Northern Oakland county too!

I really love The Rusty Bucket. Everything I've ever gotten here has been awesome. I LOVE their double nickel chicken salad, and their buffalo chicken sandwich is amazing. They have a decent beer selection and the service is always prompt.

I love Joe's Regular Wings (1Pound), they've got just enough of a kick to them. The House of Brown(Roasted Turkey and Bacon Sandwich) is moist and tasty, I eat it without any dressing or sauce. The ribs are delicious. We always ask for Nick at the Bloomfield location, he's a great server.

I had been putting off going to this place for a while now. As a former waitress I am very picky and critical of everything. I assumed this was just another bar and was very weary of eating certain items like fish thinking it was just the old frozen crap. My boyfriend and I got quesadillas that came with the best guac i ever had from a non guac lover. My boyfriend had the mahi mahi tacos I had the buffalo chicken pizza. Both were amazing!!!!!! I was impressed by how fresh the fish was and how reasonable the prices where. My boyfriend and I have been talking about this place ever since we went last month. Trust me its not your typical bar!!!!!!!! Great service Great food!

Well; two different reviews here. Just had lunch with family and while the food was very good the service was poor. First the food; chili, burgers, pasta, crab cakes and bread pudding were all well prepared. The food was the primary reason for our return visit. It's always a plus when you bite into a burger and the juice is running onto the plate because it wasn't pressed until dry while it was on the grill. The food would be the deciding factor for another return. Unfortunately the server did a poor job. Severely inattentive to the point where we were clearing our dishes onto the adjacent table simply to get them out of our way because she would pass the table without prebussing. Drinks were not refilled without prompting after the glasses were empty. We watched her roll silverware while we had empty plates on the table (which we eventually removed to the next empty table) and wanted to order dessert. No attempt at engagement by the server so no connection established which may have helped alleviate our irritation. Still left an 18% tip because I've been in the business a long time. Not much point in saying anything because it would have fallen on deaf ears especially since there was never a manager visit to see how anything was. Again; good food but this time around it was bad service by someone who gave the impression she just didn't care enough to do any better

The Rusty Bucket can only be described as a restaurant that sells... food. The food is neither good nor bad; just average bar/pub food. The place is a chain restaurant so expect food similar in taste and presentation to what you would find at a T.G.I. Fridays or Chili's (although it's better than what you would find at Applebee's, since that stuff is comparable to gruel). The place has local sports memorabilia lining the walls and plenty of televisions to allow you to watch some news or sports while you dine. I had the burger with cheese, mayo and a fried egg and found it to be okay. I didn't have to choke it down, but I'm not in any rush to go back for another. My wife had the salmon salad and she said it was pretty good. She deceived it as a Michigan Salad with salmon, so hopefully that helps give you an idea of what that particular is all about. Bottom line: This place is worth going to if you have a gift certificate of the wait is too long everywhere else. Otherwise, there are better options.

My double bacon cheddar burger was good. My margarita was bad - watered down and a ton of ice... for $7.75. Decent ambiance, nice sports theme (guess you can remove the framed Suh jersey). Good service for a Saturday afternoon with a State game on. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I got my food considering how packed the place was. I would probably come back, but I doubt that I'd be buying any drinks.

Wavered between a 3 and a 4 on this one, because a couple of times I have had 'iffy' service here, but settled on the 4 because I still choose to go there semi-often despite that. This is a fairly popular restaurant for myself and many co-workers, I think because it's one of the small handful of places close to work. Casual, but a step above a coney or "walk up and order" place, fair-to-higher pricing. I have been here several times and my favorite item to order there is the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. The "slab" of chicken on that thing is always huge. I've tried a whole range of Bucket's offerings from pizza to the burgers to the sandwiches, and seem to always go back to my sandwich. I've never had a complaint about my food there, seems they consistently put out decent stuff. Service at lunch time can be slow, and a couple of times I have had a server with a slight attitude or one that dumps your food and you never see them again - but the place is always very busy. Parking lot can be a challenge at lunch hours. I would assume dinner would be the same, but I have only been there one or two times after work and don't remember. They do seem to serve up some good drinks as well. I vaguely remember a friend ordering some vodka concoction with crushed grapes in it, very good. Due to the proximity of this place (Bllomfield Hills) to my home (Livonia), I am pretty sure that it is probably best not to drink a lot and then drive home. All-in-all, good atmosphere, clean, good food, usually decent service but just a little slow depending on how busy they are.

This is one of my family's all time favorite restaurants. We were big fans even back when they were located in West Bloomfield. My daughter loves the chicken wings better than BW3's because they are crispier. I've never had a meal there that I didn't like, and I've tried 80% of their menu. The ribs, fish & chips, salads and salmon dishes are always prepared perfectly. The owners give their employees the major holidays off, just like Costco does, and we love Costco too. I wish they'd bring back kids' meals on a frisbee. The Bucket is the best, even if they don't do a lot of beer specials (hint, hint)

Great drinking place...very friendly bar!!! They use to be located in West Bloomfield on orchard Lake Road right next to our family business but I never found time to eat there. They have moved to Bloomfield Hills on Woodward and Square Lake right by my house and I find myself there as often as I can get there. The food is great fast American fare that is not nasty like fast food (which I still eat out of convenience) and the bar is a great place to kick back and relax with a drink. Credit cards accepted at this place. No advance reservations which can sometimes be a problem with a longer than expected wait if you get there at the wrong time on game days. Overall great ombiance...I give it 4 stars because even though it is a great place it doesn't WOW me...just a great convenient place

I am not quite sure that I have figured this place out yet. We went for lunch. The atmosphere is like a sports bar; not my favorite kind of venue. The menus had offerings like lunch items, but priced like dinner. I don't know, and couldn't tell from the menu, if this was an unmarked lunch menu, or if they only have one menu and just use it all day. The thing is, the food and the beers were not bad, but I really wouldn't go here for dinner unless I just wanted a sandwich and I can get much better and cheaper sandwiches up and down the street. I had an interesting combination Italian style sandwich, and there was a lot on it, but the bread fell apart and it was dressed with some mayo based sauce. It would have been better on a crusty baguette with oil and vinegar or even brown mustard. But not mayo. Still it was OK, so 3 stars this time.

It is meh with a good bar and lots of tvs....like a hoakey BWW. The food is unremarkable...they turn a simple healthy salad into 1500 calories without a problem. If you are in the mood for a heavy lunch it'd be okay. I agree with Richard F. though - the prices are a bit steep for lunch and there is nothing on the menu you would want for dinner. If you are stuck on 75, need to wait an hour for traffic to clear, and have no other options, RB is an alright choice. Otherwise, skip it. Oh and it is for sure a chain. The sucky one by my house closed a few years ago but it had the same name, kitchy decorations and menu. There is also one in Livonia I think. It reminds me of Applebee's with "pieces of flair".

The Rusty Bucket is your typical American/Traditional style restaurant -- not grotesquely horrible but not terrifically memorable, either. I got the Blackened Salmon Salad and it tasted just like any other salmon salad I've ever had. I probably could've made an identical salad at home, actually. My friends and I split the fried pickles (chips, not spears) and those were very tasty. The service was great and our waitress was really sweet, but I don't think I'll come back here again because nothing was different or authentic about this place.

We chose this place for proximity to the hotel that family were staying at but really lucked out. We called in for our group of 10 and they immediately gave us the Red Wing Room all to ourselves and even put the red wing game on tv. The bar and grill was packed and noisy but not an issue for us. The food was surprisingly good with the ribs stealing the show. The steak and ale entree brought the biggest steak I've ever seen! The fries that accompanied were dwarfed by size and cut of meat was awesome. Seriously, we expected just your average sports bar and grill but they really had a tasty assortment of entrees and starters. We were very pleasantly surprised and no one in our group of 10 was unhappy. We would recommend the Red Wing Room if you have a small group because the service was excellent and the food really delivered.

My husband and I stopped here after 11 pm. We were hard up to find a restaurant in Bloomfield that is even open at that hour! Our waiter, Tim, was incredibly patient and extremely professional. Even though we must have been the last people being served in the restaurant, our food definitely did not reflect that. I wouldn't say it was the best food I've ever had; it is a chain, however I was impressed with the quality at 11:30 pm on a Saturday night. I had chicken fingers and fries. My fries were soggy but the chicken had good flavor. My husband said his steak was good and his fries were nice and crunchy.

I really feel the place is 3.5 stars.... Tried the food....I really, really liked the wings!! Meaty, crispy, nicely sauced, lots of flavor. They are served with blue cheese dressing and celery. I saw two guys across the bar having some and I could smell them from where I was sitting and the aroma was making my hungry!! I will be back for more! You can order 1 pound or two. Three sauce options regualr buffalo, which is what I had, tamarind bbq, or habanero something or other. I also had the blackened chicken quesadilla...didn't really taste the blackened chicken too much, but it was loaded with lots of corn and black beans....decent....but I'm sticking with the wings. Pinefin was super as normal.... Strong jack and cokes and vodka tonics.... We are tried a winter whisky made with navan, fresh squeezed orange, maple syrup, sinpke sugar and sugar rim. The tiger room is nice for a small gathering.

I agree with Nick G.: Nothing special. My mom has been itching to try this place. We went to this location a lot many years ago when my dad was in St Joseph's Hospital and it was a Bennigan's. The menu is varied, but nothing out of the ordinary; kinda like a Bennigan's. My mom had a cheeseburger with all the toppings. She said it was really good, and better than Fuddrucker's across Woodward Ave. It should be good for $9.50. That is a bit pricey for a chain restaurant. My appetizer (but large) quesadilla was a tad more money. They call it a double stacked quesadilla, which means they take two slices and melt cheese between them so they stick together. You get three, which really is six thin slices from a large flour tortilla. It was good, but not (stealing Nick G.'s word) spectacular. It was crowded on a Wednesday night, so my opinion isn't going to hurt them. The bar was busy, but with a happy hour that only offers a large draft for the price of a small and no appetizer specials, I'll stick to Royal Oak.

I like most of their food here, mostly comfort American food, nothing really that unique, but every thing is solid! The service is really good, even though they get really busy on weekends, the atmosphere is nice too, this a safe bet to take to the family, huge menu, something to please everyone in your group.

Rusty Bucket is our friend when we're too tired to go all the way home for food. It's a pub. It's grub. American-style sports bar. The wait staff is great, when they started to recognize us, I figured it was about time to give them a review them. I actually like them better for just drinks (YUM to their Bloody Mary) although they don't really do happy hour, they've got some daily specials and a good beer selection, including some tasty seasonal stuff. I have to credit them for introducing me to Founder's Breakfast Stout, which blew my mind--a beer that tastes like iced coffee? Wha? As for eats they have a nice wasabi tuna wrap, hubby likes to do whatever they have on special, which has landed him with a crazy gravy-covered spaghetti something... delicious, but heavier than I would ever crave. I sometimes wish they had a better selection of salads (wee-bit boring) or some healthier-feeling fare. As soon as I find a go-to meal there, I might update. For now, prices, tastes, drinks and service are all pretty okay for someone who's feeling too lazy to drive any further.

The wifi here is a joke - avoid for ANY business purposes at any time. The food is good and as well as the beer menu - plenty of fine local breweries as well as IPA fair.

I've written a review of the Bucket in Northville, but I often go here as well because my parents used to live out this way. Like the Bucket in Northville, I like the place's fried pickles and burgers and think the Mac 'n' cheese is all right (the sauce is a bit thin for my taste, though). I've usually gone to this branch of the Bucket on weeknights and have a special. Monday's is a pulled meat sort of sloppy joe which is, again, all right but at two sandwiches, it's really too -huge- to eat in one sitting....which brings me to the one thing I discovered at this place-although it's not listed on the menu, my server last night told me that I could order a half-order of "almost anything on the menu". I took her at her word and ordered a half-order of the Mac 'n' cheese. I expected to pay about $6 for half of a meal that usually cost $9, but the price for the half-order was -half- of the full price! So kudos to my server for mentioning the option when I told her I was looking for something that wasn't so -huge- and kudos for the Bucket for charging me just half of the full price.

The Rusty Bucket is a sports bar. We went for lunch and there were a lot of businessmen and very few businesswomen lunching. The décor was nice sports bar style and the menu was too. I had the fish and chips and they were very good. I'd go back for those. But the rest of the menu wasn't too interesting to me. Heavy on the meat, they do know their audience.

So... I couldn't wait to try out the Gluten-Free menu at the new Rusty Bucket and went for the ultimate test - I ordered pasta! Gluten-free pasta can be a starchy mess but oh no, Rusty Bucket nailed it. With a sliced pesto chicken topping off tender penne with baby spinach and mushrooms, the dish was full of flavor yet wasn't too heavy that I finished if off! We also ordered deep fried pickles as an appetizer and my black 'n blue tea with smashed berries was almost like a dessert. Looking forward to going again tomorrow for the grand opening and I know it'll become a favorite place!

I was so excited to visit this new tavern near my home. My husband and I arrived for an early evning drink around 4 pm and was quickly escorted to a beautiful seat on their outdoor patio. Unfortunately we sat there for several minutes (atleast 10 mins) without any waitstaff asking us for our order. After two waitresses and one waiter looking right past us we decided to stop one of them and ask if we had a waitress. The waitress replied "I guess that would be me and I didn't notice you sitting here the few times I passed. After we got pass that issue, we really did enjoy our beverages and the food. The macaroni was excellent. My husband got the pesto chicken and when they brought it out they forgot the chicken! However, it tasted great. They have an outside patio and it is a good atmosphere for friends or if you are with family.

Food just ok. Service has been a signicant problem last two times. Sat 20 to 30 minutes no waiter or even acknowledgment. Had to go back to hostess to finally get a waiter. Went to the Rusty Bucket for lunch. Service was very poor, but the food made up for it. I had the blackened salmon salad and it was awesome! However the server took 20 minutes before she even took a drink order, then disappeared until our food came out, then disappeared again. We sat for nearly 30 minutes after finishing our food and had to ask for someone to find her so that we could get the bill. I never even got a refill on my drink. Overall, great food but lack luster service. (My advice, go to the Rusty Bucket in Northville instead, much better service!)

Until I read some other reviews for this place, I didn't know it was a chain! The decor is sports-bar-meets-Max & Ermas, with a bunch of TVs showing various sports channels. When we first got there, it was PACKED. When I say packed, I mean there were probably 30ish people milling around the entrance alone, waiting for a table. That factor alone made me want to run back to the car and search for a less crowded restaurant. I got a buzzer and was told 45-60 minute wait. I ordered a veggie burger as well, substituting the fire for some garlic spinach. The food took another 45 mins for the food to arrive.

I have been here at least 8-10 times. More than half of my visits I have experienced great food but poor service. The servers seem to either forget about their tables or are too busy with too many tables. Service needs to be improved or this restaurant might not be around for long.

I really like the RB - I have been to this location as well as the former one in west bloomfield (before it closed and moved here). Great good, diverse menu, lots of beers on tap with bottled microbrews. Service has always been great. I'm a big fan of the burgers - the relish they put on it is great! Nice looking salads, too. The Bucket rocks. My family has been coming here forever, since before the move and we always have great service and yummy food. It's pretty big and I love the booths, you can actually have a conversation without everyone listening in. Nice variety on the menu. They have lots of parking and lots of tvs. Everyone is friendly and if there is ever a problem they make it right. Will is amazing, he's my favorite waiter EVER. So ask for him if you go. I usually get the pesto pizza, or the fish and chips, both are worth the drive. The bread pudding is really good too.

Revisit September 2012 the nachos weren't as good this time. very bland beans tasted as if they'd just come from the can. there was a real lack of flavor to the entire dish and I had to ask for salsa which took several minutes to come. was like Pace picante sauce. boring. the short rib really fatty and skimpy portion on the dish the fried pickles were AWESOME and the dill infused ranch was off the charts!!! Great place! Had lunch there and the prices were very reasonable so I don't understand the "$$$" rating. The blue plate special blackened tilapia was excellent. Pan fried just right - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside on a bed of black bean and corn salsa. The steamed broccoli was a perfect compliment. Only suggestion I have is that the blackened could have been a bit spicier. The service was excellent and for a rainy Friday noon hour the place was still packed. Great atmosphere - a bit on the noisy side but that fits in with the TV's including a big screen projection. All in all a nice comfy, "nice" casual place to dine.

My companion and I stopped here for lunch on a Saturday. We saw empty parking spots and thought it was a good opportunity to try it out. Every other time I've gone past this place it is absolutely packed. The restaurant seems spacious and I bet in the winter with the wall fireplace it would be cozy. We were charged 5 bucks for 2 iced teas. I think that's a bit steep for such a cheap beverage, but whatever. The waitress was VERY stuck up, young, and blonde. I didn't much care for her, but I'm not a guy, so maybe she's great eye candy for menfolk. It seemed like it took awhile for our food, but not too bad. I ordered meatloaf and my companion got the california turkey burger. We both liked our meals just fine. It wasn't the best food ever, or anything, but certainly tasty enough. My meatloaf was topped with barbeque sauce and two sort of limp onion rings. They could have just left the rings off and put some sauteed onions on top. I think that would be yummier. The carrots and green beans were well seasoned and perfectly cooked. My companion said his turkey burger was good, but he didn't rave about it. We were both rather hungry, so that surely influenced our opinion of the food. I will probably return here at some point for dinner as it wasn't bad. I'd like to see more cheap beer specials though if I were to use the bar. I'm not a big fan of mixed expensive drinks, which I hear is what a lot of people love about this place.

I've been there twice. The first time was for lunch, and I ordered the tuna sushimi wrap which was fantastic. Then I went back a few weeks later on a Friday night. We got there early, but the place was packed, and fairly noisy. We split the nacho appetizer, and it was not good.. We were very disappointed. Still, it's so nice to have a new, lively place in Bloomfield Hills and I will definitely go back.

We decided to dine here on Father's Day as we were in town for my husband's work. We expected it to be busy, but it was not. We were seated right away. My son's root beer was fantastic, he ordered a cheeseburger kids meal with only pickles on it. It came with no pickles and it was several minutes before receiving them. We ordered a plain hamburger for our daughter and she was a big fan. Husband ordered the chicken fingers with skillet beans. There were only four relatively small chicken fingers--he said they were very greasy and fairly tasteless. I had the lemon chicken piccata and I was very happy with mine. We had met some business associates there for dinner and while we were chatting after dinner, the waiter offered to bring the kids a small dish of ice cream which was a nice touch. We would definitely return, however hubby said he wouldn't order the chicken again.

I had never eaten at a Rusty Bucket, but my first experience was eh. I sat at the bar. Service was somewhat lack luster. Had to grab my own menu from the end of the bar and flag down the bartender to order instead of being asked by them. The bartenders seemed more intent on stocking beers and cleaning than paying attention to the customers at the bar; another patron waited quite awhile for help while the two bartenders discussed work crouched in front of an open fridge. I ordered the pesto chicken pasta. I thought this would be a more typical pesto dish, but instead, only the chicken had a pesto like glaze on it, it looked as if it had sat for awhile in the kitchen. The pesto was generic. The texture of pinenuts was absent, and that pop of fresh basil and garlic recently blended was missing. The wine sauce was watery and the pasta was very overcooked to the point of being mushy.

Our family loves the Rusty Bucket. Their staff is wonderful and works together to insure a great dining experience. They have just redid their menu and we are excited to try the new daily specials. My husband tried the Chicken Picatta today and said it was fabulous. We really enjoy the atmosphere and look forward to coming in again soon. Returned today Thursday to try the daily special spaghetti and meatballs. Outstanding!! The meatballs are a combination of veal and beef and fork tender. The sauce was a fantastic compliment. This is the type of place you go to make sure everyone has something they can feel comfortable ordering, but won't have anything that they're gonna love or come back for. Let's face it, there aren't a whole ton of bars in the Bloomfield Hills area. There aren't a lot of craft beer bars in the area period unless you want to venture to nearby Royal Oak or Ferndale. So I'm impressed with Rusty Bucket, regardless of it being a chain, for that. They also have drink specials pretty much every night of the week: Martini Night, Mule Monday, Daiquiri Tuesday, Whiskey Wednesday, Throwback Thursday, Gary's Famous Margarita Night, and Bloody Sunday. UM, if I still lived in Michigan I would be here EVERY night. Huge draft list. My Dad told me that I had to try their Mount Pleasant Train Wreck Ale and I'm glad I did. It was hoppy but subtle and packed a punch. The food I guess is where we start to lose stars. I probably didn't order the best thing on the menu, which I hear is their large variety of burgers. I was torn between getting fish and chips so I went with the codwich sandwich. It was a little too heavily breaded and adding cheese onto a piece of fried fish seems redundant to me. But the fries are great. I had sweet potato and tried my sister's side of regular that were cooked over-done so that they were nice and crispy. She went with the blackened salmon salad and my niece had the kid's chicken fingers meal. Again, just decent food and probably a notch above a Bennigans. I like the atmosphere though because its laid back and super Detroit proud (banners everywhere). I'll definitely be back when I'm in town.

I'm beyond shocked I'd be a fan but based on my one visit I am one. We popped in for lunch today. It was somewhat empty which made me think that it isn't a place we should stay but we did. Once we were seated, the server (Liz) came over and was great. She explained the drink specials (didn't mention prices), her favorite food items, and I asked for the not so favorite items. She was diplomatic and insisted everything is good and pointed out food items that are not ordered as much to appease me. She was the highlight - great service. We ordered a few beers, chicken strips, and a loaded burger Beer prices are in line with similar bars, and they have a nice selection. The chicken strips might be the star of the show. They are cooked with fish batter and we couldn't figure out why but they are really good - nice crispy coating. The burger was good, nothing special but good. It's hard to hate burgers with fried eggs, so...to recap - it was good. Few things which are nominal, the drink special menu doesn't have prices which made me avoid ordering a Bloody Mary. Simple fix. I wouldn't make it a regular spot but would happy stop in from time to time.

When you think Rusty Bucket you don't think cool atmosphere and good food. But fear not, that's what you'll find here. I've dined at Rusty Bucket about half a dozen times and never had a bad meal. I am a huge fan of their Asian Tuna wrap, rare ahi tuna served with veggies in a lawash wrap. So darn good. They have a nice beer selection and support all the big MI breweries in tap. They also have good happy hour specials and do week night food specials as well. It can get a bit busy during peak hours and is a tad loud but still not a bad spot. It's the perfect half way place to meet up with friends who live in southern Oakland county and Northern Oakland county too!

I had been putting off going to this place for a while now. As a former waitress I am very picky and critical of everything. I assumed this was just another bar and was very weary of eating certain items like fish thinking it was just the old frozen crap. My boyfriend and I got quesadillas that came with the best guac i ever had from a non guac lover. My boyfriend had the mahi mahi tacos I had the buffalo chicken pizza. Both were amazing!!!!!! I was impressed by how fresh the fish was and how reasonable the prices where. My boyfriend and I have been talking about this place ever since we went last month. Well; two different reviews here. Just had lunch with family and while the food was very good the service was poor. First the food; chili, burgers, pasta, crab cakes and bread pudding were all well prepared. The food was the primary reason for our return visit. It's always a plus when you bite into a burger and the juice is running onto the plate because it wasn't pressed until dry while it was on the grill. The food would be the deciding factor for another return. Unfortunately the server did a poor job. Severely inattentive to the point where we were clearing our dishes onto the adjacent table simply to get them out of our way because she would pass the table without prebussing. Drinks were not refilled without prompting after the glasses were empty. We watched her roll silverware while we had empty plates on the table (which we eventually removed to the next empty table) and wanted to order dessert. No attempt at engagement by the server so no connection established which may have helped alleviate our irritation. Still left an 18% tip because I've been in the business a long time. Not much point in saying anything because it would have fallen on deaf ears especially since there was never a manager visit to see how anything was. Again; good food but this time around it was bad service by someone who gave the impression she just didn't care enough to do any better

The Rusty Bucket can only be described as a restaurant that sells... food. The food is neither good nor bad; just average bar/pub food. The place is a chain restaurant so expect food similar in taste and presentation to what you would find at a T.G.I. Fridays or Chili's (although it's better than what you would find at Applebee's, since that stuff is comparable to gruel). The place has local sports memorabilia lining the walls and plenty of televisions to allow you to watch some news or sports while you dine. I had the burger with cheese, mayo and a fried egg and found it to be okay. I didn't have to choke it down, but I'm not in any rush to go back for another. My wife had the salmon salad and she said it was pretty good. She deceived it as a Michigan Salad with salmon, so hopefully that helps give you an idea of what that particular is all about. Bottom line: This place is worth going to if you have a gift certificate of the wait is too long everywhere else. Otherwise, there are better options.

My double bacon cheddar burger was good. My margarita was bad - watered down and a ton of ice... for $7.75. Decent ambiance, nice sports theme (guess you can remove the framed Suh jersey). I would probably come back, but I doubt that I'd be buying any drinks.

Wavered between a 3 and a 4 on this one, because a couple of times I have had 'iffy' service here, but settled on the 4 because I still choose to go there semi-often despite that. This is a fairly popular restaurant for myself and many co-workers, I think because it's one of the small handful of places close to work. Casual, but a step above a coney or "walk up and order" place, fair-to-higher pricing. I have been here several times and my favorite item to order there is the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. The "slab" of chicken on that thing is always huge. I've tried a whole range of Bucket's offerings from pizza to the burgers to the sandwiches, and seem to always go back to my sandwich. I've never had a complaint about my food there, seems they consistently put out decent stuff. Service at lunch time can be slow, and a couple of times I have had a server with a slight attitude or one that dumps your food and you never see them again - but the place is always very busy. Parking lot can be a challenge at lunch hours. I would assume dinner would be the same, but I have only been there one or two times after work and don't remember. They do seem to serve up some good drinks as well. I vaguely remember a friend ordering some vodka concoction with crushed grapes in it, very good. Due to the proximity of this place (Bllomfield Hills) to my home (Livonia), I am pretty sure that it is probably best not to drink a lot and then drive home. All-in-all, good atmosphere, clean, good food, usually decent service but just a little slow depending on how busy they are.

Rusty Bucket is our friend when we're too tired to go all the way home for food. It's a pub. It's grub. American-style sports bar. The wait staff is great, when they started to recognize us, I figured it was about time to give them a review them. I actually like them better for just drinks (YUM to their Bloody Mary) although they don't really do happy hour, they've got some daily specials and a good beer selection, including some tasty seasonal stuff. I have to credit them for introducing me to Founder's Breakfast Stout, which blew my mind--a beer that tastes like iced coffee? Wha? As for eats they have a nice wasabi tuna wrap, hubby likes to do whatever they have on special, which has landed him with a crazy gravy-covered spaghetti something... delicious, but heavier than I would ever crave. I sometimes wish they had a better selection of salads (wee-bit boring) or some healthier-feeling fare. As soon as I find a go-to meal there, I might update. For now, prices, tastes, drinks and service are all pretty okay for someone who's feeling too lazy to drive any further.

I've written a review of the Bucket in Northville, but I often go here as well because my parents used to live out this way. Like the Bucket in Northville, I like the place's fried pickles and burgers and think the Mac 'n' cheese is all right (the sauce is a bit thin for my taste, though). I've usually gone to this branch of the Bucket on weeknights and have a special. Monday's is a pulled meat sort of sloppy joe which is, again, all right but at two sandwiches, it's really too -huge- to eat in one sitting....which brings me to the one thing I discovered at this place-although it's not listed on the menu, my server last night told me that I could order a half-order of "almost anything on the menu". I took her at her word and ordered a half-order of the Mac 'n' cheese. I expected to pay about $6 for half of a meal that usually cost $9, but the price for the half-order was -half- of the full price! So kudos to my server for mentioning the option when I told her I was looking for something that wasn't so -huge- and kudos for the Bucket for charging me just half of the full price.

This is one of my family's all time favorite restaurants. We were big fans even back when they were located in West Bloomfield. My daughter loves the chicken wings better than BW3's because they are crispier. I've never had a meal there that I didn't like, and I've tried 80% of their menu. The ribs, fish & chips, salads and salmon dishes are always prepared perfectly. The owners give their employees the major holidays off, just like Costco does, and we love Costco too. I wish they'd bring back kids' meals on a frisbee. The Bucket is the best, even if they don't do a lot of beer specials (hint, hint)

Great drinking place...very friendly bar!!! They use to be located in West Bloomfield on orchard Lake Road right next to our family business but I never found time to eat there. They have moved to Bloomfield Hills on Woodward and Square Lake right by my house and I find myself there as often as I can get there. The food is great fast American fare that is not nasty like fast food (which I still eat out of convenience) and the bar is a great place to kick back and relax with a drink. Credit cards accepted at this place. No advance reservations which can sometimes be a problem with a longer than expected wait if you get there at the wrong time on game days. Overall great ombiance...I give it 4 stars because even though it is a great place it doesn't WOW me...just a great convenient place

I am not quite sure that I have figured this place out yet. We went for lunch. The atmosphere is like a sports bar; not my favorite kind of venue. The menus had offerings like lunch items, but priced like dinner. I don't know, and couldn't tell from the menu, if this was an unmarked lunch menu, or if they only have one menu and just use it all day. The thing is, the food and the beers were not bad, but I really wouldn't go here for dinner unless I just wanted a sandwich and I can get much better and cheaper sandwiches up and down the street. I had an interesting combination Italian style sandwich, and there was a lot on it, but the bread fell apart and it was dressed with some mayo based sauce. It would have been better on a crusty baguette with oil and vinegar or even brown mustard. But not mayo. Still it was OK, so 3 stars this time.

It is meh with a good bar and lots of tvs....like a hoakey BWW. The food is unremarkable...they turn a simple healthy salad into 1500 calories without a problem. If you are in the mood for a heavy lunch it'd be okay. I agree with Richard F. though - the prices are a bit steep for lunch and there is nothing on the menu you would want for dinner. If you are stuck on 75, need to wait an hour for traffic to clear, and have no other options, RB is an alright choice. Otherwise, skip it. Oh and it is for sure a chain. The sucky one by my house closed a few years ago but it had the same name, kitchy decorations and menu. There is also one in Livonia I think. It reminds me of Applebee's with "pieces of flair".

Been going there for about a year and it seems like things have gone downhill. Last two times place was only about 1/3 full lots of wait staff but service was really slow. Took 10 minutes to initially get served with drinks. Food came reasonably quick but was nothing special. Then after taking our charge card she disappeared again for at least 10 minutes. The Rusty Bucket is your typical American/Traditional style restaurant -- not grotesquely horrible but not terrifically memorable, either. I got the Blackened Salmon Salad and it tasted just like any other salmon salad I've ever had. I probably could've made an identical salad at home, actually. My friends and I split the fried pickles (chips, not spears) and those were very tasty. The service was great and our waitress was really sweet, but I don't think I'll come back here again because nothing was different or authentic about this place.

We chose this place for proximity to the hotel that family were staying at but really lucked out. We called in for our group of 10 and they immediately gave us the Red Wing Room all to ourselves and even put the red wing game on tv. The bar and grill was packed and noisy but not an issue for us. The food was surprisingly good with the ribs stealing the show. The steak and ale entree brought the biggest steak I've ever seen! The fries that accompanied were dwarfed by size and cut of meat was awesome. Seriously, we expected just your average sports bar and grill but they really had a tasty assortment of entrees and starters. We were very pleasantly surprised and no one in our group of 10 was unhappy. We would recommend the Red Wing Room if you have a small group because the service was excellent and the food really delivered.

We came to watch the World Cup game tonight with a group if 6. Food was very mediocre, service pretty pathetic and restrooms a dirty mess! Who's managing this place??? Tried to find someone to talk to but no manager around. Come on!...get it together Rusty Bucket!

I have been here at least 8-10 times. More than half of my visits I have experienced great food but poor service. The servers seem to either forget about their tables or are too busy with too many tables. Service needs to be improved or this restaurant might not be around for long.

I really like the RB - I have been to this location as well as the former one in west bloomfield (before it closed and moved here). Great good, diverse menu, lots of beers on tap with bottled microbrews. Service has always been great. I'm a big fan of the burgers - the relish they put on it is great! Nice looking salads, too. DO IT

The Bucket rocks. My family has been coming here forever, since before the move and we always have great service and yummy food. It's pretty big and I love the booths, you can actually have a conversation without everyone listening in. Nice variety on the menu. They have lots of parking and lots of tvs. Everyone is friendly and if there is ever a problem they make it right. Will is amazing, he's my favorite waiter EVER. So ask for him if you go. I usually get the pesto pizza, or the fish and chips, both are worth the drive. The bread pudding is really good too.

I've never had a problem with the service, and the food is good, but the problem is I'm not blown away by anything. For whatever reason it's all that was fine, and not I need to go back soon! I will say my favorite thing on the menu is their carrots and the glazed salmon.

A happy hour bar with good food. Love the Ahi Tuna wrap. They have great specials and a fantastic bar. We have been there numerous times after work and haven't been disappointed. Good times and great food.

This was a really good dining experience. I went for lunch and had the bucket bites, the nickel salad, and a sampling of their wings it was good - very good. Amber was spot-on and checked up on me often. The price point is a little bit on the higher end. But the quality of the food was very good. They do have a full service bar with plenty of TVs to watch sports. Still not to crazy about the name of the restaurant. Just doesn't sound right. I don't know what it refers to and why would I want anything rusty associated with food, so that's why I'm not too fond of the name.

we had a carry out order today 10 person order. Everyone was very disappointed, the food portion were very small and not even put together correctly. I ha e eaten in house before and it was good. This happens every time we order carry out. I think we the message, DON'T ORDER CARRY OUT.

Train Wreck beer on tap, part of their Michigan Beer selections - loved the name and the taste. Diverse clientele. Wednesday "Blue Plate Special" Stroganoff was good. Pizza is thin crust style. Overpriced. Moderate portions. Plenty of outdoor seating. The bread pudding dessert almost bumped it up to a 4th star.

Revisit September 2012 the nachos weren't as good this time. very bland beans tasted as if they'd just come from the can. there was a real lack of flavor to the entire dish and I had to ask for salsa which took several minutes to come. was like Pace picante sauce. boring. the short rib really fatty and skimpy portion on the dish the fried pickles were AWESOME and the dill infused ranch was off the charts!!! So good the bar experience was still really nice. great selection of beers and great place to watch NFL football on sunday.

My husband and I stopped here after 11 pm. We were hard up to find a restaurant in Bloomfield that is even open at that hour! Our waiter, Tim, was incredibly patient and extremely professional. Even though we must have been the last people being served in the restaurant, our food definitely did not reflect that. I wouldn't say it was the best food I've ever had; it is a chain, however I was impressed with the quality at 11:30 pm on a Saturday night. I had chicken fingers and fries. My fries were soggy but the chicken had good flavor. My husband said his steak was good and his fries were nice and crunchy.

I really feel the place is 3.5 stars.... Tried the food....I really, really liked the wings!! Meaty, crispy, nicely sauced, lots of flavor. They are served with blue cheese dressing and celery. I saw two guys across the bar having some and I could smell them from where I was sitting and the aroma was making my hungry!! I will be back for more! You can order 1 pound or two. Three sauce options regualr buffalo, which is what I had, tamarind bbq, or habanero something or other. I also had the blackened chicken quesadilla...didn't really taste the blackened chicken too much, but it was loaded with lots of corn and black beans....decent....but I'm sticking with the wings. Pinefin was super as normal.... Strong jack and cokes and vodka tonics.... We are tried a winter whisky made with navan, fresh squeezed orange, maple syrup, sinpke sugar and sugar rim. The tiger room is nice for a small gathering.

Overpriced, average bar food. Seems like a nice place to drink - maybe a few drinks make the overpriced, average bar food seem more acceptable. I won't find out since it was not worth a second trip.

Eh... we have been here multiple times and the last visit will be our last. Every plate of food that came out was cold, not warm actually cold lasagna, cold chicken and when we sent it back the next dish was cold again! We also asked to have the TV changed to the tigers game 5 times and 3 different people before it was changed, no one seemed to know what was going on.

I agree with Nick G.: Nothing special. My mom has been itching to try this place. We went to this location a lot many years ago when my dad was in St Joseph's Hospital and it was a Bennigan's. The menu is varied, but nothing out of the ordinary; kinda like a Bennigan's. My mom had a cheeseburger with all the toppings. She said it was really good, and better than Fuddrucker's across Woodward Ave. It should be good for $9.50. That is a bit pricey for a chain restaurant. My appetizer (but large) quesadilla was a tad more money. They call it a double stacked quesadilla, which means they take two slices and melt cheese between them so they stick together. You get three, which really is six thin slices from a large flour tortilla. It was good, but not (stealing Nick G.'s word) spectacular. It was crowded on a Wednesday night, so my opinion isn't going to hurt them. The bar was busy, but with a happy hour that only offers a large draft for the price of a small and no appetizer specials, I'll stick to Royal Oak.

I like most of their food here, mostly comfort American food, nothing really that unique, but every thing is solid! The service is really good, even though they get really busy on weekends, the atmosphere is nice too, this a safe bet to take to the family, huge menu, something to please everyone in your group.

The Rusty Bucket is a sports bar. We went for lunch and there were a lot of businessmen and very few businesswomen lunching. The décor was nice sports bar style and the menu was too. I had the fish and chips and they were very good. I'd go back for those. But the rest of the menu wasn't too interesting to me. Heavy on the meat, they do know their audience.

I was so excited to visit this new tavern near my home. My husband and I arrived for an early evning drink around 4 pm and was quickly escorted to a beautiful seat on their outdoor patio. Unfortunately we sat there for several minutes (atleast 10 mins) without any waitstaff asking us for our order. After two waitresses and one waiter looking right past us we decided to stop one of them and ask if we had a waitress. The waitress replied "I guess that would be me and I didn't notice you sitting here the few times I passed. After we got pass that issue, we really did enjoy our beverages and the food. The macaroni was excellent. My husband got the pesto chicken and when they brought it out they forgot the chicken! However, it tasted great. They have an outside patio and it is a good atmosphere for friends or if you are with family.

Food just ok. Service has been a signicant problem last two times. Sat 20 to 30 minutes no waiter or even acknowledgment. Had to go back to hostess to finally get a waiter. Last night even after getting a waiter the service was slow and he seemed confused even though I don't think he's new. Probably last time even though it's close and I like all the sports tv.

Went to the Rusty Bucket for lunch. Service was very poor, but the food made up for it. I had the blackened salmon salad and it was awesome! However the server took 20 minutes before she even took a drink order, then disappeared until our food came out, then disappeared again. We sat for nearly 30 minutes after finishing our food and had to ask for someone to find her so that we could get the bill. I never even got a refill on my drink. Overall, great food but lack luster service. (My advice, go to the Rusty Bucket in Northville instead, much better service!)

Your standard pub food. Fish and chips are good. They could give you more fries though. The fried pickles were...pasty. Nothing special. Good place to watch the game with your friends. Service is good. The Bathrooms are very clean and modern. There's even a tv turned in to hgtv...

Until I read some other reviews for this place, I didn't know it was a chain! The decor is sports-bar-meets-Max & Ermas, with a bunch of TVs showing various sports channels. When we first got there, it was PACKED. When I say packed, I mean there were probably 30ish people milling around the entrance alone, waiting for a table. That factor alone made me want to run back to the car and search for a less crowded restaurant. I got a buzzer and was told 45-60 minute wait. I ordered a veggie burger as well, substituting the fire for some garlic spinach. The food took another 45 mins for the food to arrive.

So... I couldn't wait to try out the Gluten-Free menu at the new Rusty Bucket and went for the ultimate test - I ordered pasta! Gluten-free pasta can be a starchy mess but oh no, Rusty Bucket nailed it. With a sliced pesto chicken topping off tender penne with baby spinach and mushrooms, the dish was full of flavor yet wasn't too heavy that I finished if off! We also ordered deep fried pickles as an appetizer and my black 'n blue tea with smashed berries was almost like a dessert. Looking forward to going again tomorrow for the grand opening and I know it'll become a favorite place!

I had never heard of this place but I was in the area and hungry so I stopped in. The service was terrific. The waitress was very friendly and had an extensive knowledge of the menu. The restaurant was clean and had a good atmosphere. The food however was not as good. It wasn't bad but it was nothing special. Maybe I went on an off day but I probably wouldn't return.

Great place! Had lunch there and the prices were very reasonable so I don't understand the "$$$" rating. The blue plate special blackened tilapia was excellent. Pan fried just right - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside on a bed of black bean and corn salsa. The steamed broccoli was a perfect compliment. Only suggestion I have is that the blackened could have been a bit spicier. The service was excellent and for a rainy Friday noon hour the place was still packed. Great atmosphere - a bit on the noisy side but that fits in with the TV's including a big screen projection. All in all a nice comfy, "nice" casual place to dine.

My companion and I stopped here for lunch on a Saturday. We saw empty parking spots and thought it was a good opportunity to try it out. Every other time I've gone past this place it is absolutely packed. The restaurant seems spacious and I bet in the winter with the wall fireplace it would be cozy. We were charged 5 bucks for 2 iced teas. I think that's a bit steep for such a cheap beverage, but whatever. The waitress was VERY stuck up, young, and blonde. I didn't much care for her, but I'm not a guy, so maybe she's great eye candy for menfolk. It seemed like it took awhile for our food, but not too bad. I ordered meatloaf and my companion got the california turkey burger. We both liked our meals just fine. It wasn't the best food ever, or anything, but certainly tasty enough. My meatloaf was topped with barbeque sauce and two sort of limp onion rings. They could have just left the rings off and put some sauteed onions on top. I think that would be yummier. The carrots and green beans were well seasoned and perfectly cooked. My companion said his turkey burger was good, but he didn't rave about it. We were both rather hungry, so that surely influenced our opinion of the food. I will probably return here at some point for dinner as it wasn't bad. I'd like to see more cheap beer specials though if I were to use the bar. I'm not a big fan of mixed expensive drinks, which I hear is what a lot of people love about this place.

I've been there twice. The first time was for lunch, and I ordered the tuna sushimi wrap which was fantastic. Then I went back a few weeks later on a Friday night. We got there early, but the place was packed, and fairly noisy. We split the nacho appetizer, and it was not good.. We were very disappointed. Still, it's so nice to have a new, lively place in Bloomfield Hills and I will definitely go back.
